Buttercup Corner Day Nursery is a warm, welcoming, family-run nursery owned and managed by Kimberley Woodward. We’ve been supporting local families for 10 years, caring for children from birth to 5 years in our nursery, and up to 11 years in our Out of School Club.
Kimberley has worked in childcare for over 20 years and is passionate about creating a setting where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. We’re proud to have achieved an Ofsted rating of Outstanding in 2022, reflecting the high standards of care, learning and leadership you can expect at Buttercup Corner.
A nursery built around children – and parents too
We know how important it is to feel connected to your child’s day. In each playroom, our interactive sign-in system makes drop-off and pick-up secure and straightforward, letting you quickly and easily record medications and any notes from home.
Every child also has their own online learning journey, which belongs to you as the parent. We love it when families join in by sharing photos and moments from home – because those “little things” matter.
Our team uses tablets to capture children’s achievements and daily experiences in real time. That means you’ll receive a helpful update by email each day – covering everything from meals and naps to nappy changes, changes of clothes, and any reminders (like running low on nappies). No more scrunched-up paper notes at the bottom of a bag!
Enriching experiences all year round
We’re open all year, closing only for Bank Holidays and one week between Christmas and New Year. We also offer a range of weekly activities to keep days varied and exciting, including yoga, dance, gymnastics-based sessions, woodland walks, and Muddy Boots adventures.
Together, we nurture, educate & inspire.
A word from Kimberley…
“Having worked in childcare for the past 20 years, I’m devoted to providing the highest quality of education and care to every child. Buttercup Corner is our family nursery, and from conception to creation, every detail has been carefully thought through to make sure we get it right.
My husband Stephen and I, along with our two sons Jayden and Kiane, would love to welcome you in. The nursery has been completely refurbished from floor to ceiling, with a calm black-and-white theme and a splash of colour in each room – so the children’s artwork and photographs take centre stage.
We invest in quality furniture and resources, but the heart of Buttercup Corner is our team. All staff are qualified to Level 3 or above and chosen for their passion, warmth, and dedication to helping every child feel nurtured, supported, and inspired. Welcome to our little haven of happiness.”
